Impressive, well proportioned and beautifully restored, stone millhouse with pool and dépendance, set beside a trout stream, within a short walk from medieval town centre. Built in 1675 as Marquises Malaspina's summer villa then it was turned into a substantial water mill in 1820.
The property comprises the main House, La Casetta (the old mill worker's independent house),
Le Macine (which was designed to be an integral part of the main house, if desired)
and Il Frantoio ( the old Oil Mill which retains the stone press as the main feature of its large sitting-cum-dining room).
